Your guide to the best cheesecakes in Singapore

A highly-acclaimed and famous cake shop, Cat & the Fiddle Cakes is the brainchild of award-winning patisserie Daniel Tay. Trained in the art of classical French pastry- and dessert-making, Daniel is also the founder of Bakerzin (he sold it in 2007 but managed it until end-2013) and also runs state-of-the-art food solutions company, Foodgnostic. His online store boasts cheesecakes (from $29.90 to $49.90) in an array of flavours, with tempting options such as Milo Dinosaur Cheesecake, King Cat of the Mountain (Mao Shan Wang durian) and Maneki Neko (Tangy Lemon & Yuzu).

This month, they’ve brought out a brand new flavour: Pandan Gula Melaka ($48.90)! With smooth and rich pandan infused cream cheese, this sweet and savoury cake is topped with a gula melaka glaze with a generous sprinkle of grated coconut.
