Our Cheesecakes, Add-On's and Gifts
- What is the serving size of each cheesecake?
All our cheesecakes are 7 inches / 17.8 cm in diameter and the weight varies between 700g to 1.1kg. Our cakes are all of a standard size and comes in a round shape only. As a guide, each cheesecake can serve up to 10 people. We currently only make cakes in this size however we will be expanding our range shortly.
The size of the standard cake box is approximately 23.5cm by 22cm x 8.5cm.
- What allergies and dietary requirements do I need to consider?
Our cheesecakes contain gluten, eggs and dairy products, so they are not suitable for those suffering from intolerance or allergies to these particular foods. Please be aware that our cheesecakes may contain traces of nut.
All the cream, egg and cream cheese used in our cheesecakes is pasteurized and do not contain rennet.
- Will candles and knife be provided?
A knife is included with each order however we do not include candles. You may purchase them and other goodies from Add-Ons.
- How do I customize my cheesecake?
D.I.Y. Stencils: A fun stenciled design can brighten up cakes for parties and holidays. All you need is confectioners'/icing sugar or chocolate powder and some imagination.
Greeting Tags: We have greeting tags for almost any person, sentiment or occasion ‐ from something very specific to something as general as `Greetings`. With their variety of shapes,colours and designs, these small pieces of card do so much to make a cake different and personalized. The Greeting Tag will only be tied to the paper bag and will not be able to be placed on the cake. And after the party, they make lovely bookmarks!
Candles: What's a birthday cake without candles... and do we have fun ones for you! There are candles that burn with coloured flames ‐ imagine a chorus of them on birthday cake. There are candles in the shape of numbers that bring warmth and meaning, or perhaps giggles. And what could be cuter than a candle sculpted into a winged cherub with chocolate brown hair?
Message Stand with Pen: If you possess free‐hand artistic flair, this one is for you! Write or draw anything you wish on the message board. Make it original. Make it creative. Put your personal stamp on it; then stick your masterpiece into the cheesecake... and wait for the applause.
Cutlery: In our zeal to keep our prices sweet and affordable, we haven't forgotten practical needs such as serving utensils. Our Cutlery Set of 5 plates, 5 forks and 1 knife is compact and disposable so that you can hold your party conveniently and without mess anywhere, even outdoors! If you prefer a grander or neater way to slice the cake, we provide knives for the occasion too. Serving up joy and celebrations has never been easier.
Celebratory Message Tag: Not too creative with words but wanna make an impact? No worries, these ready‐mades are perfect for that. They stand up and shout in psychedelic colours `Happy Birthday`, `Happy Anniversary`, `Happy Mother's Day`! They are hassle‐free way to put your heart on the cake and pizzazz in the party... more designs are coming.
Greeting Card: Give us your heartfelt message and we will write it for you so you can express yourself exactly as you intended.
- What is the difference between Baked, Non-Baked and Half-Baked Cheesecakes?
Fully Baked cakes are those which have been baked in the oven. Half Baked cakes are those which have certain layer/s which were baked in the oven but not the whole cake. Non-Baked cakes are those which have not been baked in the oven at all.
All cakes are ready to eat - the only difference is the texture of the cake. Fully Baked cakes are denser and richer in taste whereas Non-Baked cakes share more similarities to mousse cakes and Half-Baked cakes are somewhere in-between.
- Do your cakes contain Beef Gelatin?
No, our cakes do not contain Beef Gelatin.
- Are your cheesecakes fresh? Why are they frozen?
We freshly bake our gourmet cheesecakes and blast freeze them to seal in the rich flavours and textures that we hope to share with you. An industrial blast freezer is NOT a home freezer. Our blast freezers are designed to preserve the fine cell structure and moisture content of our cakes, preserving their aroma and taste.
When our blast frozen cheesecakes are brought back to the correct temperature (~4 degrees Celsius), it will have the same characteristics as it did when it was blast frozen. It is as if time itself was frozen!
Whilst we sympathise with those who wish to devour our delicious gourmet cheesecakes immediately, the best things in life come to those who wait....... (for our cakes to thaw).
- How would I know if my order is confirmed?
An order confirmation email and SMS will be sent to the email and mobile number provided confirming the delivery method and the chosen timing. Please make sure to check your Spam or Junk Folder in your e‐mail if you have not received the order confirmation.
- Will my cheesecake look exactly like those on the website?
The final design and general appearance of cheesecakes can vary slightly from the chosen design in terms of colour due to the fact that we blast freeze our cheesecakes.
- Are your cheesecakes Halal certified? Do you use pork or lard?
The cheesecakes sold via our website are not Halal certified however we do not use pork or lard in any of our cakes. Our cakes do not contain any form of alcohol which are suitable for consumption by children.
- How long can your cakes be kept for?
We only uses the finest ingredients from local suppliers without additives or preservatives. However, as with all baked goods using butter, heavy cream, whole milk, etc – our cheesecakes should be refrigerated and served at room temperature.
If refrigerated within one hour of delivery or collection, our cakes can be kept in the freezer for 2 weeks (remember to wrap the box in 2 layers of cling wrap to form an air-tight seal, otherwise you can also place the cake in an air-tight container) or in the chiller for 2 -3 days. We strongly recommend that the cheesecakes be eaten within 48 hours from collection/delivery.
Ordering and Payment
- Why have I been charged an extra USD$1?
Whenever you Register or use Guest Checkout with PayPal for the first time, PayPal will verify the card information by submitting what is known as a temporary authorization charge for USD$1. This allows PayPal to make sure the card information is accurate. Since it is only a temporary charge, your card issuer will return the charge within 3 working days.
- How do I use my store credit, coupon, vouchers and Cat Dollars?
Coupons and Vouchers can be applied during Checkout on the My Shopping Cart page by selecting Coupon Code or Gift Voucher from the drop-down box, entering the coupon and/or voucher code and clicking Apply. Please note that most coupons and vouchers will require customers to Login before they can be successfully applied.
Any Store Credit in your account is fully applied automatically to your order after Log-In during Checkout .
Cat Dollars in your account can be applied to your order after Log-In during Checkout on the My Shopping Cart page by selecting Cat Dollars from the drop-down box, entering the amount to be applied and clicking Apply. Please note that Cat Dollars cannot be used or stacked with any coupon or voucher codes.
- How do I order from Cat & the Fiddle?
Cakes can only be ordered online via our website and, from our Flagship Retail Store at Clarke Quay Central. Our website has been designed to guide users through the entire ordering process to ensure a successful and pleasant user experience.
- Are your prices subject to GST?
All prices stated on our website are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
- What are the methods of payment available?
We do not accept cash on delivery and payment must be made online as the final step of the Checkout process using either Credit/Debit Card or Paypal. Please note that a PayPal account is not required for payment on PayPal - please continue to Guest Checkout for payment using a Credit/Debit Card.
An order is only considered completed once successful payment has been made.
Delivery and Collection
- Do you deliver to all parts of Singapore?
We deliver to all locations except Jurong Island, restricted airlines and cargo areas (such as airport cargo complexes, and airline roads) and other locations that are not on mainland Singapore.
- How far in advance may I place my order?
We can take order up to 1 month ahead of the scheduled date of Delivery or Self Collection.
- How would I know if my order is confirmed at my specified date and time slot?
An order confirmation email will be sent to the email provided by you, confirming the details of your order. You will also receive a SMS. Please make sure to check the Spam or Junk Folder in your e‐mail if you have not received our order confirmation.
- What are your delivery charges?
Our Delivery Charges are subject to the chosen timing of the delivery and can be found <a href="https://www.catandthefiddle.com/delivery">here</a>.
An additional charge of $10 will apply for deliveries to Sentosa Island.
If no one is present to take receipt of the order at the time of delivery, an email notification will be sent to the sender’s supplied e‐mail address. The recipient will have the option of re‐delivery or self‐collection. Re‐delivery charges of $5.90 (Next Day) and $12.90 (Same Day) will apply to all re-deliveries and are subject to driver availability.
- Can I specify a delivery address and timing but change it afterwards?
As we provide Same Day and Next Day Delivery, we are generally unable to make any changes in the delivery address and timing once the order is confirmed. It is important that someone is at your delivery address to receive the cake. Where possible, we will try to accommodate any request to amend an order however this will be subject to a $10.70 amendment fee.
If there is no one at the address at the time of delivery, our delivery man will call the number provided in the order and will wait for a maximum of 5 minutes as he has other delivery locations to go to. If no one is present to take receipt of the item at the time of delivery, we will email the recipient. The recipient will have the option of re‐delivery or self‐collection. Re‐delivery charges will apply according to your order delivery preference.
- Can I make collection on the day of purchase?
Yes, you may order and collect on the same day if the order is made before 4pm on the day itself and collect at latest by 7pm.
- Where do I make Self Collection?
Self Collection can be made at our office and retail store.

- How do I check my Cat Dollar Balance?
You can check your Cat Dollar balance after logging-in under My Account - Cat Dollar (Loyalty Credit) or here.
- How do I earn more Cat Dollars?
You can earn Cat Dollars by referring friends to Cat & the Fiddle using your unique Friend Code and upon each first purchase you will receive $2.
- What are Cat Dollars?
From 15 September 2016, each time you place a new order, a loyalty credit equal to 7% of the value of your order (less shipping and less discount) will be given to you and is available to be used toward your next order. Cat Dollars (Loyalty Credits) expire 90 days after your last purchase with Cat & the Fiddle.
Amendments, Cancellation, Refund and Exchange Policies
- Can I cancel or amend my order? Will I be able to get a refund upon cancellation of my order?
Orders can be cancelled or amended at least 36 hours ahead of the scheduled Collection / Delivery date by calling our Customer Service team at +65 6287 0077 however the value of the order can only be credited as store credit to the purchaser's Cat & the Fiddle Account and not as a direct refund. Please note that any cancellation or amendment will incur an administrative charge of $10.70 (including GST).
- If I paid for delivery and did not receive my order, will I be refunded?
Please call our Customer Service team at +65 6287 0077 to check on the status of your delivery. Our Customer Service Officer(s) will investigate accordingly and provide you with a refund should it be ascertained that the delivery to you was not made. Should it be ascertained that if no one was at the location to accept delivery for the allocated time slot, no refund will be provided.
- If I did not collect my order, will I be refunded?
Please call our Customer Service team at +65 6287 0077 at least 36 hours in advance to change your self‐collection date and time if necessary. If we do not receive any notification, all uncollected orders will be disposed of within 2 days of the date of collection. Refunds and exchanges are not available in such situations.
- Can I still get a refund if I’ve signed off upon self‐collection or delivery?
No refund or exchange will be given once the product has been delivered or collected.
- What if the cheesecakes that I have ordered turn up damaged?
Please make sure to check the cheesecake(s) upon collection or delivery as once the cakes have been delivered/collected we won't be able to take responsibility for any damage to the cake.
If the cheesecakes are indeed damaged at the point of delivery (the driver will usually be able to make an assessment), please let us know and we will make alternative arrangements for you.
